Moses has died and Joshua is God’s man to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. God strategically commands Joshua to cross the Jordan River at the worst possible time of the year – flood season. By faith, Joshua obeyed. Then, God did what only 

He could do – He stopped the river upstream. It’s imperative for leaders to lead by faith, so that others can model their faith. This is what Joshua did.
